It was a busy day

I was expecting it to be busy today and I was right.  I completed the claim forms, scanned them to Lynda, and mailed them before pickup.  During that time, I also downloaded today's Health Logic.  I placed it with the other two and proceeded to organize the items. Subsequently, I scanned Sunday’s Health Logic document and continued with the tasks. I also worked on the stuff that PBC gave me Thursday.  I am hoping to have it all done by the time she arrives on Thursday.

my session with Debra Tonight was cancelled.   Her daughter was ill, and she needed to collect her.   It has been a couple of weeks since our last meeting.  She was on vacation.    I successfully forwarded the prior entries to her.  I do want to tell her about a humorous activity.

I found out during the meeting tonight that the session with Debra next week is going to be moved as the Installation starts at 5:30 (Mass) and then the dinner and festivities start at 6:30.   Anyway, My session will be on Monday.

Last weekend Chef Maureen and a large group of Liz’s friends celebrated Liz’s Birthday at a restaurant.  Chef Maureen took pictures and Video of all these women.  The very same women Who Liz wanted to protect their Anonymity and was so Angry with me when I showed up to her fucking luncheon at the club house.  Hypocritical Much?

I had dinner when I got home and eventually fed Sky and then got ready for the Board Meeting for the ladies Guild.  I had to bring money for the Installation Dinner for Next week.  It will be held at Father Callahan Hall at St Agnes.  Of course we are going to have it catered.   We will be putting the final touches for the said dinner.

The meeting focused mainly on the dinner and the scholarship presentations scheduled for September. It appears we need to make some changes moving forward.  Depending on how much money is available.

I couldn't find the car keys as I was leaving.  I started panicking.  Luckily Pat was there and eventually I found it in my jeans pocket deeply.  I arrived home by 9:30 p.m. and was in bed by 10 p.m.

The Coffee I bought before the meeting is keeping me up.

I better get going..

Another Crazy Monday

Despite getting up early enough to get a few things (very few) accomplished today was another regular Monday.  Between people driving like morons and my work taking almost all day to get done.

Today, Gargoyle/Guardian Angel was upset with me when I checked if a piece of mail had arrived for someone who was expecting it.  She even mentioned that I shouldn’t be answering emails from my cell phone when I am home sick.  I nearly told her to... imagine the rest.  Our interaction for the rest of the day was limited.

Although the claim forms were manageable, the health logic proved to be quite complex.  Typically, it originates from the weekend.  Today's printout was quite large.  I scanned Saturday's documents and some refund requests.

The weather at work was beautiful.  It started in the 60 degrees and went up to 70 by the time I left the office.   Evidently, the situation was similar here at home.  I am writing this out on the patio.  The patio needs to be swept and painted, but I prefer not to spend money on the painting job.

During the weekend I got letter from the property manager/President reminding us that the dryer ducts annual cleaning is in July and we need to call them or email them to schedule an appointment between July 1 to the end of July.  I hopped right on that and sent them an email.  I haven’t heard back from them.

I have some laundry to fold, dishes to organize, and several other tasks to complete before my energy levels decrease.

Okay managed to get those to do lists items done.  Just in time for me to get ready for bed.

Before I leave, please pray for Mama R.  I texted her today; she was having a tough time.  She nearly canceled her Breast MRI.  She finally did it and when she was done came home and slept for three hours.  I think the last time I talked with her by phone was a week ago and since then a couple of texts messages and IM.

A Lazy Sunday

It seems like another lazy Sunday.  I was prepared to visit the laundromat to clean the blanket. Thus far, I have managed to feed Sky and have coffee.

I intended to sit outside on the patio, but it was too chilly when I went out.  I returned indoors.  The weather reports indicate it is in the 50s.  The sun is shining. The AC temperature should be consistent because it's also chilly inside.

I considered going grocery shopping; however, I currently do not require any items.  I'll go after the eye appointment on Friday.

I am anxious about Friday’s appointment.  My eyes have been more blurry than usual.  Is it diabetes, lupus, or simply old age?  I didn’t go sooner because I knew the appointment was coming up and so I just adjusted my reading methods.

I did the laundry, folded it, and made the bed.   In addition to having lunch, I watched Season 18 of NCIS on ION TV. I accomplished several more tasks before retiring for the night.

The Weather has been crazy

For the past two weeks the weather has not been the best. The temperatures have primarily remained in the 70s, though the weather conditions have been predominantly cloudy and rainy.    Not much sun.  The weather report for tonight is calling for thunderstorms in about 15 minutes.  I guess it would be a nice way to sleep.  The windows haven’t been opened in quite a while.  It doesn’t look like the weekend will be much better.

This will provide an opportunity to complete housework.  I got my new eureka vacuum cleaner this past Thursday and I need to put it together.  I may ask Don to help me if I have problems.

I got up and did our morning routine and it felt good to be able to go back to sleep for a little while.  An animal with four legs and whiskers was displacing me from my bed.   I had coffee and yogurt.  I am going to have to put the yogurt on my grocery list

Well guess what?  Around 9:30 I found I was wrong and so was the weather channel.  The sun was out!  The app now predicts rain after 3 PM today.  As I looked out I could see the clouds moving in.

I eventually turned off the TV because it was distracting. If I put YouTube on I am pretty sure I will be watching that as well.  I did eventually put it back on.

I like the new vacuum cleaner.  It did a great job.  I need to become accustomed to the cord becoming entangled under and around various objects.  I finished most of the rooms except the bedroom.  The furry boss is sleeping.  I may finish it when he gets up or tomorrow.

I heard from TDiaz, today.  She emailed the office.  She has a funeral to go to on Tuesday.  I sent her a text message as Well and late this afternoon she replied.

This Week was the 2nd Anniversary

I was on FB earlier this week (at Breaktime).  I saw my coworkers KC’s Memorial to our former Coworker who committed suicide 2 years ago Tuesday.  It was Memorial Day weekend.  We were working that Friday.  Linda was working and seemed semi normal.  She left late that day and headed up to her family’s vacation spot and the next day jumped from the side of the MT Pisgah mountain near Lake Willoughby.

We learned on Tuesday after the holiday.   The Administration eventually sent the email.  The services were on June 5 at St Michael’s in New Haven.  I remember attending the wake, but I’m unsure about the funeral. During that time those who were in the office wondered how and why she could do this.  We knew she had problems and was troubled.

Since that time, the Local 34 Committee for the Office of YM has prioritized reaching out to individuals who may be experiencing difficulties.  That’s one of the reasons we started focusing on JT this passed year.  We have been doing it longer than that.

The rest of this week has been busy with the daily stuff.  Some days felt longer due to annoying traffic.  On Thursday, I learned new work procedures successfully. I planned to stay longer today, but I started feeling sick at lunch.

The Annual University Spirit Week will commence next Tuesday.  I believe there is a Employee Appreciation lunch.  It should be fun.  Several of us from the office will be attending.  I am not sure if those working remotely will be attending.

I experienced a stomach bug on two occasions this week.  The first was during Wednesday’s Meetup.  The second event I mentioned earlier happened today.  I had to come home after two.  Since two thirty been taking it easy.  I had to miss Steph’s Birthday party.

I attended the first part of my dentist’s appointment last night.  I got there a little late but the whole procedure was to prepare for a temporary cap for my tooth.  It included a mold of the area so that the permanent one goes in.  The appointment is scheduled for next Thursday at 6:45 PM. I will not require any additional time.

I am going to the lab tomorrow to get blood work done for Dr.Y (Metabolism Assoc).  Our next appointment is in a couple of months.  I must review the appointments. I must also check my Cholesterol level for the Cardiologist.

I have an appointment with the eye doctor early next Friday morning, and I will take the entire day off for it.  I wasn’t sure if I will have eyes dilated or not.  I didn't want to go back to work with dilated eyes.   Next week, my schedule is quite full with appointments at the end of the week.  The following week I will look at later.

My nephew John, Angel Brother's older son, recently completed his EMT course and is now a certified EMT.  I don’t know if he has a job or not.  I am so proud of him.  Tiffany is proud.

His sister has been busy with theater activities.  Merman seems to have been vomiting under the bed.    Merman is their cat.

I am starting to get tired so I think I will finish this for now.

Conwy also has a very fine Elizabethan mansion with amazing plasterwork!

This is probably the finest Elizabethan building in the UK.

A quiet weekend

Saturday began cloudy with rain anticipated by noon.   I woke up and had coffee and cereal.    I got up at 6 to feed Sky, who is now sleeping on my bed.   Woke at 7.    I did my Saturday morning routine.

While talking to Laura about activities, I thought of buying a vacuum cleaner to return the one borrowed from Neighbor Don.    I will go to target to look at them.  The item I am interested in was not available in the store.   I don’t want to order it and have it delivered because I don’t feel like spending more money and I don’t want to wait for it.

I started chores (noisy type) around 10.  The dryer is running and I'm waiting for it to finish the current load.   I am also waiting for it to die.  It has been squeaking loudly for days.   Once the situation arises, I will need to begin utilizing the laundromat.

We're celebrating Steph’s birthday next Friday at Como Mongo in Madison.  She says she doesn’t want gifts.  I am considering whether we will give a group gift or follow her request.   She just wants to be with us.

The rest of the day got lazy.  Once I finished the vacuuming.  I returned the vacuum cleaner to Don in the afternoon.   I realized I needed a new vacuum cleaner.   I will either get a eureka or a Bissell (that’s comparable) to what Don has.  They were both about 80 dollars and I think it will be good.  Yes, I researched.

Sunday was quiet. I went grocery shopping at around 10 AM and returned by noon.   The afternoon I went to Bingo and met the new Recreation Director Trimm.  He is very nice.  We had fun too.  We had thirteen residents.  One of them was my Bingo lady Alice.  She turned 102 this past week.

When I got home I put the bbq chicken together.  Unfortunately, I didn’t follow the recipe to the letter.  I was supposed to cook them first before putting the sauce on.  Instead, I just put it on them before cooking.  I think I didn’t have it at the right temperature.  It did look good.

Later in the evening, while I was watching the NCIS marathon, I consumed some mini shredded wheat which unfortunately caused me to feel ill.   I got as far the bathroom sink and threw up.

Memorial Day started out pretty good.  After feeding Sky, I had breakfast and completed some tasks which included visiting both Target and Walmart to examine the vacuum cleaners.   The ones at Target appeared complex and were above my budget.   I looked at the ones at Wal*Mart.  The price was again out of my budget.

I ordered one from Chewy for $75 when I got home.   It was a Bissell and has all the things I was looking for.

The rest of the day I did a few odds and ends.  I discovered there may be something wrong with the dishwasher.  The washing pod hasn’t dissolved very quickly today.  I checked inside and it looks okay and its possible I may have packed the dishes wrong.  I might need to start washing dishes by hand until I can get a new dishwasher.

I made a late lunch of cheeseburgers after I made and froze several beef patties for the next week.

I just relaxed the rest of the time and watched TV.  I also did some text chats.

Now I am going to bed.  I have a long day tomorrow.  After work I have Debra and the ladies guild board meeting.

It Memorial Day Weekend

Today begins the unofficial start of the summer season.  There is a parade planned this weekend but there are a few people including some of my acquaintances that don’t want to have a parade.  I am not sure why that is but several posts on Facebook that remind us that this holiday is to remember those who didn’t get to come home from their tours of the different wars.

No Parades Uh oh.  I just looked up why there shouldn’t be parades.  Well, I hope that worked.  I also found out that saying Happy Memorial Day is inappropriate to say.  OOPS.  Other countries honor their dead soldiers throughout the year.

The week went well even though I had a couple of challenges that took me some time to get through it.  There was a misunderstanding with CSenior, but it was resolved later. She reminded me not to be reactionary and to apologize.

I accidentally broke GW's mug, brought it home, and tried to fix it. Despite the warning, I inadvertently got glue on my hands.  I will try again tomorrow.

There were only four of us in the office today because of the holiday.  Many people took the day off, while others worked remotely.  I entered first, followed by others after some time.

I attended my coworker's husband's wake after my infusion yesterday. I didn't stay for the funeral services because the medication made me tired. I was home by 5:30.

My medical appointments this week went well. The cardiologist wants me to test my cholesterol levels.   I need to fast for it.  The Benlysta infusion was yesterday.  The Nephrology appointment at the Metabolism Association went well, despite my high blood pressure when I arrived.   It was at the level that the others had noted. She requested that I use Farxiga eventually.  I need to get lab work so we can see if I can lower the prednisone to 10.

I recently discovered that Mama Roberta is dealing with breast cancer.   She has had it since last October.  She has been enduring chemo, losing hair, and getting a new wig that looks beautiful.  I think she told me in our last phone chat she was having a chemo treatment today.  She says it will knock her out for the next few days.

She is maintaining her daily routine, including meetups and housekeeping.  I am not sure when she is having surgery if at all.  She and Papa are expecting their first grandchild in June.

When she first told me the news I was floored.  Whenever we spoke on the phone, she never revealed anything.   I've offered to help them if needed, as it put my problems in perspective.

It's been cold and rainy since Wednesday.   We got some early sun, but it felt raw.   I was hoping the weather is nice for the rest of the weekend.    It doesn’t look like it though.  I remembered last year that the weather in May was all over the place.  Especially at Memorial Day.

Well its getting late and I am getting tired.  Have a great one…
